SCIENCE & RESEARCH

NCSTU is one of the leading scientific centers in the South of Russia. Several scientific schools of the university contribute to the realization of many important projects, such as establishment of a special scientific-educational center for micro- and nanotechnologies; innovation complex “Stavropol technological park”, which is established for in implementation of science intensive technologies into industry.

NCSTU has Research Centre for cooperative use “Electronics, microelectronics and nanotechnologies”. Its development conception was confirmed at the university academic council on 21.09.2005. We have training and research laboratories and pilot production in the field of nanotechnology and nanomaterials.

The Centre being an independent research structural department of NCSTU carries out the following tasks:

• development of new appliances and equipment, the development of unique measuring complexes and methods for training and research works.
• measurement assurance of scientific and development projects;
• assurance of highly qualified specialist’s training, field work and prediploma practice;
• enhancment the use of unique expensive equipment.

The international scientific-research laboratory “Electro and baromembrain technologies” is established in cooperation with Czech company “MEGA”. Main tasks of the laboratory are fundamental and applied researches in the field of membrane processes and their practical implementation. Laboratory is equipped with plants for electrodialysis, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis.

Our students and PhD students do their placement at this laboratory.
