Main areas of activities  – development of international cooperation in scientific and educational spheres. Dr Alieva made her way up from international coordinator of the Faculty to the Vice-rector of International Relations of the University. For eight years she has been working on international projects, developing international programmes and organizing international events. In this period the University has made a great step in development of international activities. NCSTU has sustainable cooperation with academic partners from 14 countries. It has become a member of three thematic networks (MRS, IDF, IFA). The number of foreign students rose five times, their geography rose to 15 countries.

As the Bologna promoter Alieva L.R. was trained according to the programme under the aegis of European Commission and National TEMPUS Office in RF. From 2006 to 2008 acted as coordinator of the TEMPUS SCM project «Implementation of Bologna process in technical Universities of the North Caucasus» with 6 European Universities and 21 Institutions of RF as participants. At the moment University takes part in the consortia of three large international programmes:

•  ERASMUS MUNDUS 145585-PT-2008-ERA MUNDUS - EM4EATN with 53 countries of 5 continents as participants,
• ERASMUS MUNDUS 182895-EM-1-2010-1-DE-ERAMUNDUS-EMA21-L05 with 6 countries of European Union participating in it,
• TEMPUS 511135-1-2010-1-ES-TEMPUS-JPCR Tuning Russia with 5 countries as participants.

Alieva L.R. is highly experienced in organizing large-scale international events. She was an official coordinator of international symposiums, conferences, Analytical Week IDF/ISO 2009 with participation of scientists and experts from 35 countries.   

Education:

• Diploma of the engineer in Dairy Technology with Honours, PhD and doctoral course at NCSTU, practical industrial training and research in Nestle (Germany)
• Diploma on specialty “Management” at Moscow Aircraft Institution, within the programme senior staff training initiated by the President of RF,
•  Diploma of translator in sphere of professional communication of NCSTU.
•  Diploma of professional development at the Diplomatic Academy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs RF in “Management of International Relations”

Area of scientific research – development of value-added foodstuffs with chitosan and its derivatives. Defended thesis on Development of whey beverages technologies with chitosan.  Has 70 publications, 9 patents on inventions. These inventions were awarded with medals and diplomas of international salons. In 2008-2009 she was the scientific leader of joint research of BRIDGE project with University Reading UK. Alieva L.R. is an expert of the Standing Committee of Science and Technologies of the Intenational Dairy Federation. She is a national representative of International Food Association in RF.

Teaching activities – associate professor of the Applied Biotechnologies Department. Main disciplines, taught in Russian language: food chemistry, food and biologically active additives/concept of patent research.

Main disciplines, taught in English language: basic technology of dairy industry, food additives, concept of scientific research, history of dairy sector.
