Joint project of NCSTU and Zeppelin
On the 18-th of November NCSTU welcomed high guests. There were strong reasons for their visit. An innovation resource centre has been founded on the base of NCSTU.
This is a joint project of the company Zeppelin (the largest Caterpillar dealer in the world) and North Caucasus State Technical University which carries on the best educational traditions of the company and the higher education institution (HEI?).
The foundation of the centre on the base of North Caucasus State Technical University is determined by many factors. Firstly, the region is in want of advanced technique (North Caucasus Federal District is situated in the mountainous area, therefore the Caterpillar equipment is in demand in the region). Secondly, efficient and qualitative service is essential for the region. Furthermore, the centre offers great opportunities for sustainable development of the region. Federal programs, launched in the region, are aimed at development of resort facilities. Hydroenergetics and road construction are also in progress.
During the opening ceremony rector of NCSTU, B.M. Sinelnikov said that “the strategy of social and economic development of North Caucasus Federal District untill 2025”, approved by the government of the Russian Federation in September 2010 sets the foreground task of industrial development of the region – training of human resources. And it is not by chance. A new developing district needs adequate human resources, educated, clever and talented specialists, first of all young. The opening innovation resource centre will provide the task solution.
The start-up centre will make it possible to extend the regional base of vocational training and promote the programs of social and economical development of North Caucasus Federal District.
The centre has large-scale plans including personell training and retraining in different fields (such as mechanical engineering, machine operators), holding of seminars, technology conferences, students, postgraduates and staff training.
There is no doubt that the centre will make a contribution to effective solution of strategic tasks of North Caucasus Federal District.
Mayor of Stavropol, N.I. Paltsev, rector of NCSTU, B.M. Sinelnikov, Minister of economic affairs of Stavropol region, Y.V. Yagudaev, minister of construction of Stavropol region, I.A. Stoyan, general director of Zeppelin-Russland Frank Janas etc. wished the centre fruitful work for the good of North Caucasus Federal District.
The opening ceremony turned into a bright show with historical review of the company Zeppelin. Later the guests visited the centre where they could make acquaintance with its laboratories and equipment.
