How to get Russian visa?
You can get visa in the Russian consulate in the country where you live. For getting visa you need invitation from our university. Please, pay your attention you are able to get invitation from our university in case of studying only in our university.
The invitation is made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and this process takes about 35 days. To get the invitation you need to send by mail the set of following documents:
- Passport copy
- Translation of the passport, legalized in the Russian consulate on the territory of the country you live in
- Certificate copy on secondary education
- Information on the place you live (full address) and the place you plan to get the visa.
After you get invitation and visa in the Russian consulate, you should send the copy of your visa to oms@ncstu.ru. In this mail you should also send the exact information about your arrival.
Take notice, that visa, which was given to you by the embassy of the RF, is single-entry and valid for 90 days. This visa is for single use, so it means that you can cross the board only twice: when you arrive and when you leave. When you come to Russia you should change your single-entry visa to a multi-entry visa, which is valid only for the time specified in the contract (but not more than one year). Within this period this kind of visa gives you the opportunity to cross the board of the RF several times. The tax of multi-entry visa is 1000 rubles. After you get multi-entry visa you should be registered once again. Please, pay attention that it’s forbidden for foreign students to work on the territory of the RF (only on holidays).
Registration procedure
Registration gives to foreign citizen an opportunity to stay at the territory of RF legally. According to the law of Russian Federation you are obliged to register within 3 days after you crossed the territory of RF. So, on your arrival you should come to the International department and submit your documents (passport, migration card and visa) for registration. The cost of execute registration is about 200-400rubles (8-16$). Registration term lasts not more than visa term. The registration stamps are put on your migration card.
ATTENTION!
If you leave the country (go home for holidays) or you leave Stavropol, traveling inside RF, you should inform the Department of International Relations in advance.
